Hey everyone! So much has been happening since I introduced myself. Thanks to the Neuhoff grant I conducted my research over the summer (2021) with Dr. Young, Dr. Kloepper, Valerie Eddington (SMC researcher in Kloepper's lab), and Adrienne Calistri-Yeh (a visiting researcher from Northwestern University). I got to work on Valerie and Adrienne's projects as well which was really cool. My project was looking at the difference in relative tail lengths between male and female fox squirrels on campus. Analysis of the data we collected showed significant differences (YAY!). Females on average had a 7.7% increase in relative tail length compared to males. I got to present my research at fall poster day and will soon be presenting at the inauguration research symposium! I am very excited for this opportunity and hope it will help me increase my confidence while presenting as I prepare for SICB 2022! Comments are closed.
